Although not planned, I recently saw part of Vice President Kamala Harris' speech about clean energy on TV (linked below). Even though climate change is proved to be an urgent global matter, the final solution is still up for debate. We are moving toward solar energy although there are still many questions on how to achieve it.
I have recently observed many solar panels being installed in my neighborhood. Currently the lighting on my outdoor basketball court is fully powered by solar panels. My parents are also planning to install solar panels for our house as the net metering program connects solar power to electrical grids and credit solar homeowner for the excess energy.
Our world is full of natural sources of power - thunder, earthquake, water, wind, etc. Once they become controllable and sustainable, we will become less dependent on fossil fuels which are detrimental to our environment.
