While I was researching, I summarized an article with assistance from AI (MS Copilot). Incentives, encouragement, and enforcement are all important aspects to slow down climate change.

  • Incentives: Policies that promote the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, can help reduce reliance on fossil fuels. i.e. tax credits. At the same time, use carbon pricing to discourage fossil fuel usage.

  • Research and Development: Investing in research and development of new technologies can lead to innovative solutions for mitigating climate change. i.e. government funding.

  • Regulations and Standards: Governments can implement regulations to limit greenhouse gas emissions from industries, vehicles, and other sources. i.e. setting greenhouse gas emission standards.

  • International Cooperation: National policies can also contribute to global efforts to combat climate change. By participating in international agreements, such as the Paris Agreement, countries can work together to set and achieve emissions reduction targets.
