While I was on my way to Pennsylvania for a baseball tournament this weekend, I read many interesting things about the climate in the news.
Firstly, there were four cases of destructive tornados in New Jersey and tow cases in Pennsylvania. According to news channels, there were a plethora of tornado touch downs in New Jersey at a record number. I passed through the two states and now know what EF# is.
In addition, More sharks are being spotted on Long Island beaches. There have been different arguments between whether its because more people are looking for sharks or we have a better ecosystem for sharks allowing them to hunt large schools of fish.
Lastly, this has been a very cool summer in New York, with historically low temperatures. You can enjoy the early fall type of summer weather with temperatures in the 70s. At the same time, damaging rain and violent thunderstorms have also been a big part of our summer story.
Mother nature has its natural cycle, we cant conclude in a rush but looking into more data will help us find an answer. I happily found that NOAA has collected a lot of data - data will continue to be a key
